Description:
Joseph Benamati has spent more than 30 years in the field of human services, specializing in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, children's mental health issues, parenting and substance abuse. He was with Parsons Child and Family Center, an NCTSN grantee from 2001 to 2005, for 21 years as treatment coordinator, social work supervisor, clinical director, Residential Treatment Facility Director and Director of Parsons Child Trauma Study Center and senior administrator of Mental Health Residential Services. Joseph Benamati is author of START (Systematic Training to Assist in the Recovery from Trauma) Dr. Benamati is currently a faculty member at the Sanctuary Leadership Development Institute in Yonkers, New York. He remains involved with the Network through his membership on the NCTSN Steering Committee (2008–2010), and through his trainings and speaking engagements around the United States.
