About NCTSN Knowledge Bank
This online tool provides access and referral to members and resources of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN), its partners, and affiliates. The NCTSN is funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) of the US Department of Health and Human Services. The mission of the Network is to raise the standard of care and improve access to services for traumatized children, their families, and communities throughout the United States. This Knowledge Bank contains descriptions of resources as diverse as the network itself: print materials (training manuals, client handouts), audio & video productions, and even the expertise of centers and individuals. It's a sort of "virtual index" to the knowledge, skills, and products of the NCTSN. Much of the material in the Knowledge Bank is available online, simply by clicking the URL provided. In other cases users can contact the source for more information or to obtain copies of items.
Inclusion of resources in the Knowledge Bank does not imply endorsement of them by the National Child Traumatic Stress Network or the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
You can browse or search for resources; here are some sample queries:
- Which NCTSN centers are working with adolescents who've been sexually abused?
- Has anyone developed any materials for families in Vietnamese?
- Where can I find expertise on substance abuse and trauma?
- What resources about child trauma do we have for first responders?
- Are there any training programs about refugee trauma for school personnel?
We welcome suggestions and feedback from any users of this Knowledge Bank. Direct questions or about this portal to:
